I thought this was an excellent novel about Queen Anne and King Henry. It was slow at first, but then it became a page turner. I have a little understanding of why King Henry was called a tyrant. It also had 3 beautiful love stories that were going on during the seduction of King Henry by Queen Anne. However, if you have or plan on seeing the movie, the two are not the same. The movie cut out alot of information, but was just as good in it's own right. The movie was short, sweet, and to the point. The book took a deeper look into the life of the royal court.
