Fablehaven: Grip of the Shadow Plague by Brandon Mull

I think I enjoyed this volume far more than the first two. The frist two books had to build the characters, but were just as exciting.



In this book, Kendra and Seth had to save Fablehaven from a dark plague that made all the magical creatures evil. Seth has the ability to deflect magical fear and Kendra has the ability to talk to magical creatures and understand their language. They have to use their wits and abilities to save the preserve as well as their friends.



I find these book to be very imaginative and easy to read. I think these are good books for children as well as for adults. They are good books to take you away from the humdrum of everyday life and put you into a magical world where anything is possible.
